Graphic Designer & Marketing Specialist

Katie holds a master's degree in marketing from Georgetown University and a dual bachelor's degree in graphic design and strategic communications from Oklahoma State University. She has accumulated graphic design experience in the marketing departments of both National Geographic and USA TODAY, as well as through freelance projects for a diverse range of clients, including Nest Thermostat and Tourism Australia. Furthermore, she shares her design skills with New Bern Pride, where she has created the nonprofit's logo and website.

Her graphic design expertise spans various areas, encompassing television key art, press collateral, social media graphics, and email campaigns. Furthermore, her founding role at Parrotfish has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the consumer packaged goods industry, covering responsibilities such as crafting pitch decks, directing photoshoots, and designing retail-ready packaging.

Katie is originally from the Washington D.C. area but currently resides in New Bern, North Carolina, for the duration of her husband's military service. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing and volunteers as a kitten foster at her local humane society.
